The wise loving man whom I chose to honor was my younger brother who passed away several years ago from MS. He was caring, smart, affectionate and always welcomed everyone with his big heart and infectious laugh. I always feel his presence with me. He was a kind person who always gave love and I am trying to immolate that within myself through our spiritual connection. As I was purifying my thoughts with the white light we shared I saw images of him playing the drums, dancing and just being free. I have often dreamed about speaking to him again and the things that I would say. This exercise helped me to put it all into perspective and gave me a sense of calmness and being still.
The saying one can not lead another where one has not gone himself" to me is very powerful and means that in order to help someone else and lead them to better health and healing you have to first experience the healing yourself. This applies to the health and wellness professional because how can you claim to be a healer and know the positives of the other side if you have never been there and have nothing to compare it to. I do think as a professional you have the obligation to develop your self as more than a medical healer but as a spiritual and psychological ne as well. you can achieve this my constantly educating yourself and practicing what you preach.
